Newcastle were again given a day off training as tensions continue to rise around the club following the Saudi Arabia takeover.
According to the Chronicle, Steve Bruce and the first team were once again not present at the training ground at Newcastle. The Magpies boss is expected to be sacked later this week.
The no-show make it seven days since the Public Investment Fund takeover that Newcastle have failed to put on a training session. The new ownership was announced 11 days ago.
With Bruce set to leave the club and Newcastle losing last weekend against Tottenham, the mood around the Toon has somewhat soured despite the takeover earlier in the month.
Indeed, whilst Bruce is set to face the sack, the lack of training sessions taking part have infuriated Newcastle supporters. After all, the club still remain winless in the Premier League and in the relegation zone.
Moreover, whilst reports suggest that a new manager could join before this weekend’s league clash, no concreate movement seems to have been made in this regard.
Newcastle fans react to training no-show
