Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Charlie Adam has been speaking about Tanguy Ndombele after his performance against Newcastle.
Spurs ruined the Magpies’ party on Sunday as they defeated the Tyneside outfit 3-2 in the first game at St James’ Park since Mike Ashley sold the club.
Ndombele was instrumental to Spurs’ victory. He netted the London club’s first goal of the game while he contributed at both ends of the pitch.
Adam reckons that this was Ndombele’s best performance since joining Spurs, describing the Frenchman’s performance as ‘excellent’.
What’s been said?
Adam was full of praise for Ndombele.
“That’s probably the best I’ve seen Ndombele play, I thought he was excellent. He controlled the game with his skill and the awareness of where he was on the pitch. Kane, Son and Moura get the plaudits all the time, Ndombele, what they paid for him and the problems he had with Mourinho, but against Newcastle, he just looked like a different player.” Adam said.

Complete performance
Ndombele was simply brilliant against Newcastle.
The midfielder covered every blade of grass and displayed his quality every single time he got onto the ball.
It would have been so easy to be overawed in front of a raucous St James’ Park, but Ndombele played with a level of calmness that you’d expect to see from a Sunday League player.
The Frenchman was absolutely unbelievable and if he plays like this every week he will become undroppable at Spurs.
