The Daily Mail journalist, Craig Hope, has said on Sky Sports News (11:02am, October 17, 2021) that the new Newcastle United owners ran out of time to find a replacement for Steve Bruce before the match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Hope has claimed that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) wanted to sack Bruce this week.

However, Amanda Staveley and co. ran out of time to find a suitable replacement.

Which is why Bruce will be in charge of Newcastle for the Premier League game against Tottenham at St. James’ Park today.

Well, according to Hope anyway.

Hope said on Sky Sports News (11:02am, October 17, 2021): “It was, to my understanding, 100% the intension of the owners to replace Steve Bruce as the manager this week.

“Now the word we keep on getting back to us from sources close to the consortium is that it is process driven.

“Now, I think in the end they just ran out of time in terms of making that change of manager.”

Steve Bruce will be gone soon

It is only a matter of time before PIF sack Bruce and bring in someone else.

Just look at this statement again that Newcastle released on Friday.

“If we make any changes going forward” – Why even mention that if you are not planning to make changes?

We think that the new owners of Newcastle will sack Bruce soon.

It will be interesting to see who PIF bring in.

What we must not forget is that despite all the joy and excitement off the pitch, Newcastle are dire on the pitch at the moment.

The Magpies are in relegation trouble.

We should keep that in mind.
