Mohamed Salah scored a wonder-goal for Liverpool against Watford today, but there was another Anfield hero who was banging in the goals.

Roberto Firmino scored a hat-trick, as Liverpool hammered Watford 5-0 away from home at Vicarage Road in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Brazil international forward found the back of the net in the 37th, 52nd and 91st minute of the encounter.

Firmino – who cost Liverpool £29 million in transfer fee back in 2015, according to BBC Sport – was arguably the best player on the pitch.

After all, the forward scored a hat-trick.

Former Liverpool goalkeeper David James was following the match.

After Firmino’s first goal against Watford, James shared on Twitter a stunning stat about the 30-year-old Brazil international forward.

You can see it below.

What a stat that is!

Salah is the main goalscorer in that Liverpool front-three.

But, as Firmino showed today, he can bang in a goal or two.

Or three.

Against Watford today, Firmino took three shots and all three ended in goal.

The Brazilian is so clinical, and Liverpool are a better and more potent side with him in it.
