Granit Xhaka provided an update on how his rehab is going following his knee injury for Arsenal last month.

The 29-year-old posted on Instagram a series of pictures where he can be seen doing strength and conditioning work on his knee – and Arsenal fans loved it.

Xhaka may split opinion amongst the fanbase, but one thing that can’t be denied is his will to give his all.

That has come across to the Arsenal faithful and they have sent positive vibes to the midfielder.

It probably won’t be until the end of the year, or even possibly in January, that Xhaka is back in action for Arsenal.

And even if he is running on grass in December, he will need several weeks just to get back up to speed.

But Arsenal fans have backed the player to make a quicker recovery than expected and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he does given his pure determination.

It could have been different for Xhaka in the summer because there were well-documented rumours that he was heading for the exit door.

Then to sum it all up, on the opening night of the new Premier League campaign, he was walking the Arsenal team out, with the captaincy around his arm.

There haven’t been many players that have been marmite-like figures as Xhaka has been in North London, but he is up there.
