After it last appeared on our screens in 2019, the exceptional Guilt is back on the BBC for season 2.
Following the events of series 1, Mark Bonnar returns as Max McCall after being released from prison but the world he re-enters is even more treacherous than the one he left.
The series promises to make for enthralling viewing but will season 2 of Guilt be made available on BBC iPlayer or will fans have to watch new episodes weekly?
Guilt season 2 release date and plot
Guilt returned for its long-awaited second series on October 12th on BBC Scotland, followed by BBC Two on October 14th.
The new series continues the story of Max McCall as he is released from prison after serving time for the killing of a man who was run over at the beginning of season 1.
To help rebuild his life, Max turns to Kenny and Roy Lynch, although the jury is still out on whether the antagonistic Roy can be trusted or not.
However, Max’s return to society is far from simple as his release coincides with a shooting in an Edinburgh cellar which links him with a new arrival named Erin.

Fans can watch the new series of Guilt at their own pace after all episodes became available at 10pm on October 12th after season 2 debuted on BBC Scotland.
Of course, fans can still watch new episodes when they are broadcast on BBC Scotland on Tuesdays and BBC Two on Thursdays.
