It really is the most wonderful time of the year, and where else to spend it but Disneyland?
As the festive season approaches, you might be looking to sort out your plans for the holidays. For Disney fans and non-Disney fans alike (we’re looking at you parents), that might mean a trip to the theme park is on the cards.
If you’re looking to visit Disneyland this winter, you might be wanting to visit when it’s at its most magical. So, when can you expect Christmas decorations at the park?
When does Disneyland decorate for Christmas?
Preparation for the festive season at Disneyland commences in October. So, although Halloween takes centre stage for the month of October, the Christmas duties cannot be ignored. With a lot to set up, it’s no wonder they start a month early!
It has been reported that the Disneyland Christmas decorations will be up and running from November 12th, 2021. This is later than the predicted date of November 5th. The Christmas decorations will be up until January 9th, 2022.
For European visitors, Disneyland Paris will be donning its festive look a day later, starting on November 13th and also running to January 9th, 2022.
What’s on offer this festive season?
There’s so much to see and do at Disneyland but especially with the festive additions. There is a holiday parade, fireworks, festive food and, of course, a spectacular light display. Be sure not to miss the mega Christmas tree found on Main Street, U.S.A.!
This 2021 festive season sees the return of A Christmas Fantasy Parade, Believe… in Holiday Magic fireworks, Haunted Mansion Holiday and It’s A Small World Holiday.
But there are also some new attractions on offer such as a Disneyland Christmas after hours party called Disney Merriest Nites. This new event will include a special viewing of the festive parade, themed holiday areas, live music with dancing, snow on Main Street, and even access to Disneyland after close.
Disney Merriest Nites will take place on November 11th (to kick off the festivities), 16th, 30th, December 7th and 9th. Tickets are unfortunately now sold out. Prices went for $165 per person for ages 3 and up. Opening night on Nov. 11 is $175 per person.
