Fans of the late Robin Williams have asked for a biopic after coming across an alleged test footage by comedian Jamie Costa.

The late actor left a legacy with his hit movies like Good Will Hunting, Jumanji, Mrs Doubtfire, Dead Poets Society, Happy Days, The Crazy Ones, among others.

Robin died by suicide in 2014 at the age of 63 after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

But the Jumanji star’s name has come to the spotlight after comedian Jamie Costa did the perfect impersonation of the late actor.

The clip has amassed over 870,000 views at the time of writing.

Called ‘Robin Test Footage Scene’, the video sees Jamie Costa play the late actor. It is set in 1982 when the Good Will Hunting star was shooting the sitcom, Mork and Mindy.

It shows Robin learn the news that John Belushi had passed away, a comedian who died of a drug overdose in 1982.

Is there a biopic in the works?

There hasn’t been any confirmation that a Robin Williams biopic is currently in the works.

However, that didn’t stop fans from dreaming about a potential biopic in the future since many have said that Jamie managed to capture the spirit of the late actor.

“Someone hire Jamie Costa right now to play Robin Williams. Make this biopic. This is just amazing,” reacted one person.

“If you haven’t seen this yet, do yourself a favor. Jamie Costa has absolutely NAILED this role of Robin Williams, he brings that same spark he had to this. Can we get a biopic like this?” tweeted someone else.

Another one added: “I am at a loss of words of how extraordinary this is. Jamie Costa encapsulates the essence of Robin Williams so perfectly that this “fan footage” for a proposed biopic is a clear sign this truly needs to happen.”

Who is Jamie Costa?

Jamie Costa is a comedian, filmmaker and producer from Charleston, South Carolina.

He moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry and became famous for his Robin Williams impersonations.

Jamie also has several acting credits to his name including Amazon Prime’s Robot Riot, the 2018 short film A Magician Home Alone and 2016’s short film We Can’t Die.
