According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Boubacar Kamara has an offer on the table from Newcastle, with a January move looking likely to happen.

La Lazio Siamo Noi believe Lazio will be outdone by the Magpies, as Kamara has a ‘rich’ offer from Tyneside.

The report adds that the Frenchman will ‘probably’ head to the Premier League in January, which bodes well for Newcastle.

Interestingly, the Magpies tried to sign Kamara over the summer.

Le Phoceen revealed that Newcastle sent a last-gasp offer to Marseille on transfer deadline day, although it obviously proved to be unsuccessful.

You may be wondering who Kamara is, and also why Newcastle are so keen to bring him to St James’ Park.

Well, a comparison made by Calciomercato will be of interest to you if that is the case.

The Italian news outlet likened Kamara to Brazilian icon Thiago Silva, who is currently delivering the goods for Chelsea, even at the age of 37.

If Kamara goes on to become even a third of the player Thiago Silva is, Newcastle should do everything they can to sign him.

The youngster can operate at centre-back, as well as in a defensive midfield role – he’s even made one appearance on the right of midfield this term.

Keep an eye on this saga.

Newcastle have seemingly tracked Kamara for a while, and now, with their newfound wealth, they have the finances to make a deal happen.
