According to Yeni Asir, Sead Kolasinac will definitely be leaving Arsenal in January, with Fenerbahce his destination.
What’s the story?
Well, it looks like Kolasinac’s time at Arsenal is over.
Yeni Asir believe Vitor Pereira will add the £100,000-a-week man to his squad in January, and it won’t cost his club a penny.
Kolasinac’s contract at the Emirates Stadium expires in June, and after failing to sign him in the summer, Fenerbahce do not want to wait until then.
The Turkish giants will instead bring the defender to the Süper Lig this winter, and are not willing to pay a fee.
Usually, that wouldn’t happen, although Arsenal are just as keen to get this deal done in order to offload Kolasinac from the wage bill.
The deal is also made easier by the fact Kolasinac wants to join Fenerbahce.
It’s not often all parties are on the same page, although that is certainly the case here if Yeni Asir‘s report is true.
It’s about time Sead Kolasinac left Arsenal

For someone who earns £100,000-a-week, the 41-cap Bosnia international doesn’t really do enough in north London.
Kolasinac is far from a key player, and has only been given 90 minutes of Premier League football so far this season.
It comes after Mikel Arteta handed him that exact same amount last term as well – he is surplus to requirements in north London, to say the least.

Of course, it’s not really Kolasinac’s fault he earns so much.
He was signed on a free transfer, and free agents are usually given an inflated wage as a result of there being no transfer fee.
Nevertheless, you can get a pretty good player through the door on a £100,000-a-week contract – it’s about time those wages are put to better use.
