Rio Ferdinand has urged Newcastle to sign Max Aarons from Norwich City and Chelsea academy product Conor Gallagher, as he told his own YouTube channel.
The former centre-back stated that he would get the above duo ‘straight in there’ following Newcastle’s big-money takeover.
The whole of Europe has been linked with Newcastle since the Saudi’s came to town and only the rest of the world is left.
Either way, it’s transfer rumour crazy in the North East, something the club’s fans haven’t felt in a long, long while.
Ferdinand made it clear why he would push for Aarons and Gallagher as soon as possible, with the latter currently on-loan at Crystal Palace.
“Do you know who I would go and get now as well,” said Ferdinand. “I would be going mad for young English talent. The best young English talent.
“Max Aarons, right-back at Norwich, he is an (England) U21 player. Conor Gallagher, straight in there. Get him in.
“They are two names, straightaway, who I would say they are coming to Newcastle. I want young English talent, we are an English club.”
The Magpies purchased a player from Newcastle last summer, when they signed Jamal Lewis, so signing his fullback partner wouldn’t be a bad idea, at all.
Plus, Daniel Farke’s side are sitting bottom of the Premier League table, with only one point to their name and it seems as though they are already heading back down.
If that’s the case then their players will become cheaper next summer, which would make some of their star men more attractive to Premier League clubs.
But before any of those faces can come in, it seems as though Bruce will be sacked and then a proper structure will be put in place for the club to properly motor forward.
