Dopesick is a new American miniseries that premiered on Hulu with a three-episode welcome to new fans and we explore the release date, time, and plot of the upcoming episode 4.

Starring Michael Keaton, Peter Sarsgaard, and Will Poulter, developed by Danny Strong, Dopesick is based on the non-fiction book, Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors and the Drug Company that Addicted America by Beth Macy and revolves around the country’s addiction to Opioids.

Dopesick episode 4 release date and time

Dopesick episode 4 is scheduled to release on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, on Hulu at 12 am ET.

The show premiered with a three-episode installment on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, in order to hook fans into the narrative.

Season 1 will have eight episodes in total, each running around an hour-long, and the first three episodes were titled as follows:

  • Episode 1: “First Bottle”
  • Episode 2: “Breakthrough Pain”
  • Episode 3: “The 5th Vital Sign”

Dopesick has been billed as a limited series on Hulu, therefore, it is unlikely that the show will return for a second season.

Episode 4 plot

Dopesick episode 4, titled ‘Pseudo-Addition,’ will see Purdue Pharma enter into another ploy to raise OxyContin sales and Betty’s job is on the line after the mining incident.

Richard and the Sacklers will have to come to an agreement about how to market the drug to the world, which could cause some tension between everyone involved.

Lastly, Finnix is becoming more inquisitive about OxyContin and Billy will have to open up about the drug’s true nature or lie.

Where to watch 

Interested parties will be able to tune into Dopesick on Hulu, however, a paid subscription is needed in order to watch it.

New episodes are scheduled to be uploaded at the date and time specified. Unfortunately, Hulu will not be uploading all episodes at once for viewers to binge-watch.

Dopesick episodes will also be available to watch outside of the US on Disney + as a Star Original, arriving on November 12, 2021.
