After premiering on Netflix in July 2020, The Baby-Sitters Club returned to the streaming service for season 2 on October 11th, 2021.

Season 2 of The Baby-Sitters Club arrived on Netflix on Monday, October 11th, 2021.
Based on the much-loved book series by Ann M. Martin, the new season continues the adventures of seven school friends as they run their own babysitting business.
With demand for their business growing, the gang add a few new faces in season 2 while a new school year welcomes new relationships, personal journeys and important lessons for all.
Does Mimi die in The Baby-Sitters Club?
Tragically, yes. Mimi Yamamoto does die in season 2 of The Baby-Sitters Club.
In season 1, Mimi suffered a severe stroke that left her family and us fans worried sick.
She managed to pull through and recover well but the after-effects of the health scare left their mark.
In episode 7 of season 2, titled Claudia and the Sad Goodbye, Mimi is instructing her daughter how to make traditional Japanese tea and seems perfectly fine according to Claudia.
However, later that night as the family are off to bed, Mimi comes to bid her granddaughter goodnight, but with a sweet smile, she noticeably says “Goodbye, my Claudia” as if she knows her time has come.
The next morning, Claudia and her sister Janine wake up to the heartbreaking news that Mimi has passed away in her sleep at the age of 85.

It’s safe to say that fans of The Baby-Sitters Club have been left heartbroken by Mimi’s fate and many have taken to social media to offer up their thoughts.
One fan on Twitter wrote: “Okay babysitters club didn’t need to hurt me like that during the Claudia & Mimi episode 😭😭😭 #babysittersclub.”
While another added: “the way I cried when Mimi said goodbye my Claudia this episode was so sad I hate babysitters club for making me cry over this.”
This fan commented: “I am a grown 40 year old woman and literally just ugly cried like a baby at the Mimi episode of Babysitters Club on @netflix. Having just lost my grandfather, this episode was especially emotional for me. It was beautifully done.”
