The Baby-Sitters Club season 2 release date and plot

Season 2 of The Baby-Sitters Club arrived on Netflix on Monday, October 11th, 2021.

Based on the much-loved book series by Ann M. Martin, the new season continues the adventures of seven school friends as they run their own babysitting business.

With demand for their business growing, the gang add a few new faces in season 2 while a new school year welcomes new relationships, personal journeys and important lessons for all.

What happened to Dawn in The Baby-Sitters Club?

Dawn Schafer has been recast in season 2 of The Baby-Sitters Club.

Xochitl Gomez held the role originally but was forced to leave ahead of season 2 due to scheduling conflicts with another project while new arrival Kyndra Sanchez is now stepping in to fill the void.

Losing Xochitl Gomez is a huge blow for fans of the series but the actress stepped down to pursue a massive opportunity as she will be appearing as America Chavez (aka. Miss America) in the upcoming Marvel film Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness.

Unfortunately, the Marvel blockbuster was filmed at the same time as season 2 of The Baby-Sitters Club and so Xochitl had to make way for Kyndra Sanchez.

Meet new arrival, Kyndra Sanchez

Stepping in to take on the role of Dawn Schafer in The Baby-Sitters Club is 15-year-old Kyndra Sanchez.

The Bronx-born actress has been working in the industry since 2016 when she appeared in a voice role in Dora and Friends: Into the City!

Since then, Kyndra has appeared in some big-name projects including Netflix’s Finding ‘Ohana as well as Butterbean’s Café and Santiago of the Seas.

She even has single-episode appearances in the series The Queen’s Gambit and Sesame Street.

Like most actors in the modern industry, Kyndra is highly active on social media, most notably Instagram, where she has a total of 63,000 followers at the time of writing.

Season 2 of The Baby-Sitters Club is available to stream now on Netflix after releasing on October 11th, 2021.
