Arsenal fans praised Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after he produced the goods for Gabon during their 2-0 win over Angola in their World Cup qualifier on Monday.
The Arsenal speed king opened the scoring with 15 minutes left on the clock, when he snuck in near the far post and rifled the ball home.
Aubameyang also added an assist to his name when Gabon made sure of their three points six minutes from time.
He wasn’t the only Arsenal player finding the back of the net yesterday because Emile Smith Rowe and Nicolas Pepe were also on the scoresheet for their respective countries.
This is a great sign for Mikel Arteta that his players are firing at all cylinders, especially Aubameyang because when he gets going, so do Arsenal as a whole.
Last season, he was nowhere near his best and his form fell off a cliff from the guy that fired Arteta to the FA Cup in his first season at the club.
That seems a long time ago now, but Aubameyang is proving that deadly finisher is still in there.
He has shown glimpses of his old self during this campaign, but he is still trying to find that real consistency.
Well, the 32-year-old is certainly setting himself a strong platform and he will be hoping this form continues against Crystal Palace on Monday night.
Patrick Vieira will return to North London to face off against the club where he earned legendary status, as Aubameyang will be hoping to get on the scoresheet again.
Here is a selection of Arsenal fans reacting to Aubameyang shining on national duty again:
