According to Torino Granata, Torino are open to selling Andrea Belotti, with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal among the clubs interested in signing the striker.

What’s the story?

It has been reported by the Italian news outlet that Arsenal are interested in signing Torino striker Belotti.

Inter Milan and AC Milan are also showing interest in the 27-year-old, who won Euro 2020 with Italy in the summer of 2021.

The Italy international is out of contract at Torino in the summer of 2022.

So, the Serie A outfit are open to selling Belotti in January and not run the risk of losing him on a free at the end of the season.

Arsenal should bid

In our opinion, Arsenal should make a bid for Belotti, if indeed the Gunners are keen on the striker.

Yes, Arsenal could sign the 27-year-old on a free next summer, but there is also likely to be more competition for him.

After all, Belotti will be very attractive to a lot of clubs because he will become a free agent.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not getting any younger, and Alexandre Lacazette is out of contract at Arsenal next summer.

Signing Belotti in January would allow the striker valuable time to get to grips with the Premier League and understand Arteta’s system.

The striker could then explode at Arsenal next season.

The 27-year-old scored 13 goals and gave six assists in Serie A for Torino last season.

Belotti scored 16 goals in the league in 2019-20, and found the back of the net 15 times in Serie A in 2018-19.
