Arsenal continue to be linked with Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri – but it sounds like he has rejected the idea of a move to North London.
ABC de Sevilla report that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta specifically asked Vinai Venkatesham to sign En-Nesyri for the Gunners.
Venkatesham approved the move, and tried to bring En-Nesyri to North London – but that’s where problems arose.
It’s stated that En-Nesyri heard the proposal, but indicated that he didn’t want to leave Sevilla.
Arsenal remain keen though, and the Moroccan striker could be faced with a similar decision in the future if Arsenal come calling again.
Who is Arsenal target Youssef En-Nesyri?
En-Nesyri emerged in his native Morocco before coming through the Malaga ranks.
The 24-year-old really kicked on at Leganes, but few could have expected last season’s success.

En-Nesyri smashed 24 goals in all competitions, and has already notched three goals in seven outings this term.
Big, strong, quick and deadly in front of goal, En-Nesyri looks like complete striker.
Sevilla are under no pressure to sell right now, and it looks like Arsenal can’t quite convince him to join just yet.
A move next summer seems more likely than a January move, but this points towards Arteta wanting a classic centre forward in his squad.
