Moussa Sissoko has stated on his Instagram story that he is missing his old Tottenham teammate Christian Eriksen.

The Watford midfielder, who left Spurs this summer, was asked ‘Do you miss Eriksen’ by one of his followers.

He responded to that question by saying: “Yes, because it’s (he’s) a nice person.”

Eriksen departed the North London club during the January transfer window of 2020, when Inter Milan paid £17 million for his talents (BBC Sport).

Whilst the 29-year-old struggled during the early stages of his Inter career, he eventually got his engine going and helped Antonio Conte’s side lift the Serie A title.

It was both a shame and a relief as to what happened to Eriksen in the summer, when he collapsed during Denmark’s home clash against Finland at Euro 2020.

Thankfully, he was able and well after that moment of scare, but he hasn’t been able to play since and will be hoping to get back on that ball again.

A player with a great touch, ability to pick those pockets, link the defence and attack, he is certainly a player Spurs are in need of right now.

In truth, Daniel Levy hasn’t, under either Jose Mourinho or Nuno Espirito Santo, provided that much-needed playmaker that this Spurs team need.

It’s one of the big problems Spurs fans have with Levy and his failure to address the issues out on that pitch.

It wasn’t so long ago that Mauricio Pochettino was leading the likes of Sissoko and Eriksen to the Champions League final.

And now a more defensive-minded coach is preparing for Europa League Conference matches, it has been a change that has deflated Spurs supporters.
