West Ham United are believed to be chasing a January deal for Clermont Foot hitman Mohamed Bayo – and he just can’t stop scoring at the moment.
The Hammers chased a deal for Bayo, making contact late in August according to claims from Le10 Sport.
The transfer deadline passed without Bayo leaving, but West Ham aren’t done yet.
The Sun claim that West Ham are already looking to tee up a deal for Bayo in 2022.
West Ham need a striker to support Michail Antonio, and Bayo’s goal record this season suggests he can do it.
The 23-year-old has hit five goals in just eight Ligue 1 games. With two assists in that time too, Bayo is excelling.
With two goals in his last two league games, Bayo went into the international break in top form.
Bayo then featured for Guinea on Saturday. Guess what? He scored once again, this time in a 2-2 draw against Sudan.

Bayo raced through on goal before coolly slotting home. It wasn’t to be the winner, but Bayo’s hot form continued.
The striker has compared himself to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, which seems pretty confident from the Clermont Foot man.
Right now though, Bayo is on fire for club and country – and West Ham surely want to firm up their interest soon.
