Former Arsenal backroom staff target Ralf Rangnick is reportedly being eyed by Newcastle United as a sporting director for the club.

According to the Telegraph, the former RB Leipzig manager is on the list of names the Toon are considering to take up the position in what could be the first significant move made by PIF since their takeover of Newcastle.

The Saudi Arabia-backed sovereign wealth fund completed the purchase of Newcastle last week. And in doing so, the Magpies are now one of, if not the, wealthiest clubs in all of football.

Indeed, it is all go around Newcastle. The Telegraph also report that Steve Bruce will likely depart the northeast side before the Toon’s game against Tottenham next weekend.
