How can fans around the world watch season 2 Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and which platforms will be simulcasting the hit anime series?

Today, Sunday October 10th, arguably marks the most highly anticipated day on the entire fall anime broadcasting slate. The reason? The return of Demon Slayer.

The hit series has become a modern classic in the anime industry, especially following the incredible box office sensation that was Mugen Train last year.

Now, as millions of people around the world start their countdown to episode 1, we reveal how those same fans can watch Demon Slayer season 2 online and legally for free.

Crunchyroll and Funimation

The second season of Demon Slayer will be streaming as a simulcast anime title on both the Crunchyroll and Funimation platforms for premium subscribers and free users.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that the two platforms are providing new Kimetsu no Yaiba content, as both websites broadcast the first season as well as launching the Mugen Train movie this Summer.

The series will be available for those users with premium subscriptions first, before launching one week after the original broadcast for free in selected territories.

Funimation offers a 14-day free trial to their content, with premium membership costing only £4.99 a month.

Crunchyroll also offers a two-week free trial period, but membership costs slightly more at £7.99 per month.

Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu

At the time of writing, Demon Slayer season 2 will not be simulcast on either Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or Hulu.

Unfortunately, there has been some considerable confusion online about the release of season 2 through both Netflix and Amazon Prime. This is because the series is being shown on the Japanese versions of these sites and not the international versions.

Thankfully, the anime series’ epic return will most likely arrive on all platforms after the conclusion of the domestic broadcast, with all three already streaming the first season.

“We don’t have any news to share regarding additional episodes of Demon Slayer joining our streaming library at this time, but we’ll share your interest with our team.” – Hulu Support, via Twitter.

Fans will likely have to wait until Summer 2022 to watch season 2 on either Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or Hulu.

This article will be updated as soon as more information on Demon Slayer season 2’s release through these alternative streaming platforms is shared.

Asian territories and dubbing languages

The second season of Demon Slayer will also be broadcast across Southeast Asia through Bilibili and iQIYI, as well as Bahamut Anime Crazy in Taiwan.

Demon Slayer season 2 will be receiving countless dubbed versions, including English, but these will not be simulcast alongside the Japanese broadcast.

Dubbings typically take anywhere from four to eight months, so hopefully, we won’t be waiting too long before season 2 arrives with dubbed alternative audio options.

At the time of writing, Demon Slayer season 1 has English, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and French dubbing options available online.
