Crystal Palace striker Odsonne Edouard has said on UMM that playing against Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe for Celtic at Celtic Park is a bad memory for him from his time at the Bhoys.

What’s the story?

Edouard was in action for Celtic against PSG at Celtic Park in the Champions League back in September 2017.

It was the French striker’s debut in the Champions League for the Hoops.

PSG won 5-0.

France international striker Mbappe scored once.

‘Bad memory’

Edouard, who joined Palace from Celtic in the summer transfer window, has said that he has known Mbappe for a long time.

The 23-year-old has admitted that losing to his French compatriot on his Champions League debut for Celtic is a bad memory.

Edouard said on UMM: “We played long time ago with the national team and we come from Paris, you know. I knew him since a long time.”

The striker added: “This is a bad memory. We lose 5-0. It was a strange game.”

Succeeding at Crystal Palace

Edouard was very successful during his time at Celtic and established himself as one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership.

The youngster is doing well at Palace at the moment.

The Frenchman has scored two goals in four Premier League appearances for the Eagles so far this season.

There is a very good chance that Edouard will go on to star in the Premier League.
