We’ve all seen those viral Urban Meyer videos, but where did they come from? Well, according to reports, the man behind posting the Meyer scandal is electrician DJ Byrnes.

Here’s everything that we know.

What is the Urban Meyer viral video?

If you’re yet to hear, Jaguars coach Urban Meyer found himself in a little bit of trouble last weekend after a video of him partying surfaced online.

The footage went viral on Twitter, ultimately leading up to Meyer’s apology: “They were trying to pull me out on the dance floor, screwing around, and I should have left.”

After the coach addressed the situation, a second video from an alternate angle emerged. This further footage actually seemed to reveal the potential name of the woman in the video – but more on that here.

In latest revelations, reports have stated who is responsible for posting the initial viral video. The culprit is supposedly electrician D.J. Byrnes.

Who is DJ Byrnes?

According to The Wallstreet Journal, a Columbus, Ohio, union electrician’s apprentice, D.J. Byrnes is the man behind this week’s biggest celeb scandal.

Last Saturday, Byrnes had reportedly been sent a video of Urban Meyer partying with a woman at a bar, before deciding to post it on a Twitter burner account, @uh_oh_urban.

As we know, the video blew up and the rest is history… until Byrnes received further footage.

TWJ reports that the electrician had received a second video from a source shortly after Meyer had issued an apology statement. He then posted the clip from another burner account, @freak_leader.

Prior to being an electrician, D.J. Byrnes wrote for a Ohio State fan website called elevenwarriors.com. Reports state that he also writes a political-focused newsletter, The Rooster.
