The release date and time for Far Cry 6 is on the cusp and fans should know the pre-order bonus and differences between each edition before buying.

As per usual, it’s one of the most anticipated games of the year. Not only because of its exceptional villain played by the magnificent Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad fame, but also because it has an incredible open-world playground to explore with countless opportunities to cause mayhem.

There are rumours of a free-to-play battle royale joining the game post-launch, but – as of writing – what’s official is that the game is coming out this week.

What time does Far Cry 6 come out?

The release date and time for when Far Cry 6 will come out on PC is 00:01 ET and 05:01 BST on October 7th.

As for PlayStation and Xbox, it will come out at 00:01 local time on October 7th for all regions. All of these hours are confirmed on the game’s official Twitter account and release schedule.

For those who game on PC, you will need to buy the title from either the Ubisoft or Epic Games store. It is not available to purchase on Steam and there’s currently no news about a late arrival.

Pre-order bonus

The pre-order bonus for every edition of the game is the Libertad Pack.

This comes with a Libertad outfit for your loyal Chorizo, as well as a weaponised disc launcher named Discos Locos. You can get these two extra goodies by purchasing the Standard edition of the game for £59.99 before October 7th.

However, if you wish to play as Vaas, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed, you will want to buy one of the more expensive packages to get the Season Pass.

Far Cry 6 edition differences

The differences between the Far Cry 6 Gold and Ultimate edition is price and the Ultimate Pack.

Ubisoft’s Gold edition costs £84.99 and comes with the base game plus its Season Pass. Meanwhile, the Ultimate bundle includes the following three separate bonuses:

  • The Vice Pack
  • The Croc Hunter Pack
  • The Jungle Expedition Pack

While the above packs are neat, they’re not as exciting as the Season Pass. This is because the Season Pass will include three DLC episodes that will allow you to play as former villains Vaas, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed.

In addition to crazy and twisted landscapes inside the warped minds of the series’ greatest bad guys, Ubisoft’s blog post says that the Season Pass also comes with Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon.
