Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that manager Mikel Arteta wants to sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.

What’s the story?

The Daily Star have reported that Arsenal are interested in signing former Liverpool star Sterling.

Talks between the attacking midfielder and City over a new deal are going slowly.

The Gunners are closely monitoring the situation and are ready to swoop in.

Arsenal manager Arteta worked with the 26-year-old, who can also play as a winger, when he was a coach at City.

The Spaniard is reportedly keen on bringing Sterling to the Emirates Stadium.

Sterling is used to winning Premier League titles and playing in the Champions League on a regular basis with City.

Moreover, the 26-year-old earns £300,000 per week as salary.

City are also likely to demand more than the £44 million they paid for Sterling.
