Jamie O’Hara’s verdict

Former Tottenham midfielder O’Hara believes that Nuno should have taken off Ndombele before he eventually did.

The Sky Sports and talkSPORT pundit has said that the 24-year-old France international midfielder looked tired after 60 minutes.

O’Hara said: “Ndombele looked like he was dead on his feet after an hour, left him on for another sort of 15 minutes.”

How did Tanguy Ndombele play?

Ndombele has not been at his best in recent weeks, but Tottenham head coach Nuno seems to persevere with him.

The former Lyon star was deployed in the number 10 role against Villa.

It was far from a great display from Ndombele, who hesitated in some key moments.

The midfielder tried to score on the hour mark.

Ndombele took one shot which was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 68%, took 40 touches, and attempted one dribble.

It was not a great performance from the Frenchman, who will hope to keep his place in the Tottenham starting lineup after the international break.
