Silent Witness has been a near-constant presence on our screens since it made its debut way back in 1996 and it’s been a firm fan-favourite on the BBC for almost a quarter of a century.

In 2021, the acclaimed crime drama returned for its highly anticipated 24th series, several months later than originally planned thanks to a certain pandemic.

Like most murder mystery series, season 24 of Silent Witness welcomes both new and familiar faces to the cast of each new chapter but just who is set to appear in the climactic episodes 9 and 10?

Silent Witness season 24, episodes 9 and 10: Release date and plot

Silent Witness season 24 concludes with episodes 9 and 10 on October 4th and 5th respectively.

Titled Matters of Life and Death, the two-part finale is centred on a worrying discovery made by Nikki’s students while dissecting a body for their training that suggests foul play.

Jack is sent to investigate the care home where the victim died but finds himself having to fight to keep himself and the remaining residents alive when a river bursts its banks and floods the area, leaving them trapped with a killer on the loose.

Meanwhile, the case brings Nikki closer to her student, Ollie, which sees potentially dangerous feelings rise to the surface.
