Pierre Emile Hojbjerg has told Tottenham Hotspur’s official website that Heung-Min Son really impressed him yesterday.
Son may not have scored yesterday, but he claimed two assists in Tottenham’s 2-1 victory over Aston Villa.
The South Korean first laid the ball off for Hojbjerg, who rolled in a shot from just outside the box.
Son then left Kortney Hause trailing in his wake, before crossing for Lucas Moura to score a tap in.
And Hojbjerg wanted to give his Tottenham teammate some acclaim a full-time.
“Sonny today did brilliant, brilliant. Two assists and he was running behind them,” Hojbjerg said.
“I think he did really, really well and created two fantastic goals for us.”
Son back to his best?
If Nuno can get Son back to his very best then Tottenham’s chances of succeeding under him will be greatly increased.
Son’s performance was arguably his best of the campaign so far, as he hasn’t quite been in top form before yesterday.
Tottenham’s win was hugely important for Nuno though, as he was starting to come under huge amounts of pressure.
A game against Villa looked a potential banana skin at the start of the week, but Tottenham came through the challenge well and will now be looking to push on in the coming weeks.
