Ian Wright has said on Match of the Day on BBC One (11:39pm, October 2, 2021) that Arsenal defensive midfielder Thomas Partey was poor against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Arsenal legend also believes that striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was poor for Mikel Arteta’s side last night.
Arsenal played out a goalless draw with Brighton away from home in the Premier League last night.
Wright said: “I thought that Aubameyang unfortunately today was poor. I thought Partey was poor. Odegaard didn’t play very well.”
How did Thomas Partey play?
Arsenal were the second best team against Brighton, and not many fans of the North London club will say that the Gunners deserved a win.
If anything, Brighton should have picked up all three points from the encounter.

Like most of his Arsenal teammates, Partey had a bad game and struggled to make a huge impact in the middle of the park.
The 28-year-old Ghana international tried to score but failed miserably, and was constantly robbed of possession.
The former Atletico Madrid star took three shots and none was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 78.6%, took 58 touches, and made two tackles, two intercessions and two clearances.
Partey will hope to perform much better next time he takes to the pitch for Arsenal.
