Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Pogon Szczecin midfielder Kacper Kozlowski having already worked on a deal for him.
That’s according to The Mirror, who claim that Liverpool have been laying the groundwork for a deal.
The problem is that Pogon don’t want to sell in January even if Liverpool are pushing for the move.
That may mean that Liverpool have to wait until next summer, but they appear to be favourites for his signature.
Who is Liverpool target Kacper Kozlowski?
Kozlowski, 17, has emerged as one of the top talents in Polish football.
The attacking midfielder has been likened to Kevin De Bruyne, so it’s not a surprise to hear of the interest in his signature.
With two goals and one assist this season, Kozlowski continues to impress for Pogon.
Any teenager being compared to De Bruyne has a long way to go, but Liverpool may feel they are on the verge of landing a real star in the making.

Kozlowski made history this summer
The teenager featured for Poland in a 1-1 draw against Spain at Euro 2020 this summer.
That meant Kozlowski became the youngest ever player to feature at the European Championships.
Jude Bellingham – ironically another Liverpool target – had set the record just a matter of days earlier.
In swooped Kozłowski to take the record, and he could now end up joining Liverpool – possibly alongside Bellingham after all.
