Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to Andros Townsend copying Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration during Everton’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United on Saturday.

Manchester United opted against starting Ronaldo yesterday, but when he was brought onto the field in the second half, he would have been hoping to score and then do his own iconic celebration.

But instead, it was Townsend, who after a fast-break from Everton, was the one doing the ‘Siuuu’ by the corner flag.

Liverpool supporters actually loved what they saw from the Everton winger because, added with that, the result also helped them out.

Not only did it come against United, but it also meant that they dropped valuable points during these early stages of the title race.

Of course, the Reds have their own job to do and that’s trying to beat the champions on Merseyside today.

But not only did they enjoy the helping hand from their neighbours, they also liked how Townsend, 30, was seemingly rubbing it in at Old Trafford.

Plus, it was their former manager, Rafa Benitez, leaving Man United without a defeat under his belt once again.

Nonetheless, whilst Jurgen Klopp’s side are yet to taste defeat this season, it hasn’t been the best of starts for their old rivals.

Man United are winless in four in all competitions and the pressure in mounting on the man walking the touchline.
