Mo Salah scored perhaps the goal of the season in Liverpool’s visit of Manchester City this evening.

Both sides played out a sensational 2-2 draw at Anfield.

The game exploded into life in the second half following a 0-0 draw during the first 45 minutes.

Salah fired Liverpool into a 2-1 lead after Phil Foden cancelled out Sadio Mane’s opener – and what a goal it was.

The Egypt international, from the tightest of angles, beat a number of players and somehow found the back of the net beyond Ederson.

It was a big reminder as to why Liverpool could and should do everything they can to keep him, with his contract expiring in 2023.

And here’s how former Chelsea teammate Cesc Fabregas reacted on Twitter:

Liverpool would’ve taken a point had you offered it to Jurgen Klopp at half time.

The Reds were awful during the opening 45 minutes, but Klopp isn’t one of the game’s best coaches for no reason and the hosts emerged from the break much better.

In the end, a 2-2 draw was a fair result and neither manager will have many complaints.

Well, Pep Guardiola might actually on the basis that he felt James Milner should’ve been sent off, minutes before Salah’s wonder goal – and he’s probably right – but on the balance of play, a fair result but one that doesn’t take Klopp’s side back top of the Premier League.
