Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting to Lewis Bate’s performance for the U23s on Friday evening.
The Whites’ youth side failed to overcome the Foxes, losing 1-0 to the East Midlands outfit, but that didn’t stop Bate from running the show.
The midfielder played his part to almost perfection. He was spraying passes all over the park, barely putting a foot wrong.
Bate looks to be an incredible prospect in the midfield, he’s creative and smart and at the age of just 18, he has a lot of room to improve.
Leeds’ midfield has been lacking this season. Mateusz Klich and Stuart Dallas have been out of form for a little while now, and it’s fair to say the Leeds supporters want to see Bate given a chance.
Whether or not Bielsa hands Bate an opportunity in the first-team remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, Leeds fans think they have a fantastic young player on their hands.
