Will Maid return for season 2?

No, it is not expected that Maid will return for a second season on Netflix.

Created by Molly Smith Metzler, Maid was ordered and promoted as a limited series, which usually means that the narrative will conclude in one season.

Some shows on other streaming platforms have broken this rule and ordered a second season after being billed as a limited series or miniseries. However, Maid is not expected to follow this route.

Season 1 reviews

Early reviews for Maid are largely favorable with Rotten Tomatoes issuing the series a 100% approval rating and Metacritic awarding it a score of 84.

The Guardian praised Maid for its “detail, the tenderness, the authenticity” and had a minor quibble about the physical labor of cleaning not being presented accurately.

Qualley and MacDowell’s on-screen relationship was also praised, stepping into the show as a real-life mother and daughter.
