Glenn Hoddle has raved about Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso on BT Sport 2 (10:05pm, September 30, 2021) following his performance against NS Mura.

The former Tottenham star has said that the performance of Lo Celso for Spurs last night was the best he has seen the Argentina international play.

The 25-year-old scored a goal and provided an assist, as Tottenham won 5-1 in the Europa Conference League last night.

Tottenham legend Hoddle has noted that Lo Celso came alive after Spurs head coach Nuno made the triple substitution in the second half, with Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Son Heung-Min coming on.

Hoddle said on BT Sport 2 (10:05pm, September 30, 2021): “Lo Celso, that’s the best I have seen him play. Be it against lacking opposition, but as soon as Moura, Son and Kane came on, he came alive.

“If he can play like that against better opposition when he is under a bit more pressure and has a bit more time on the ball, but he used that time on the ball well. That’s the best I have seen him play.”

Solving Tottenham Hotspur’s creativity problem

One of Tottenham’s problems this season has been lack of creativity.

That is a big reason why Harry Kane has been struggling for goals in the Premier League.

However, last night, the 28-year-old England international striker scored a hat-trick.

Lo Celso was a major player in that success, with his creativity and ability to pick passes destroying the Mura defence.

Perhaps Tottenham head coach Nuno has finally figured out how to solve the team’s creativity problem.

With Dele Alli not having the best of times at the moment, maybe Lo Celso should be give more licence in attacking midfield.

Maybe the 25-year-old will solve Tottenham’s creativity issue this season.
