Christian Falk has revealed that Liverpool are among the club’s chasing Florian Wirtz.
The 18-year-old has emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting young players.
This season already, the Bayer Leverkusen attacker has five goals and four assists from six games across all competitions, attracting the likes of Liverpool.
According to the Bild journalist, speaking to the publication’s EnglischeWoche show, the Reds and a flurry of other huge clubs – like Manchester City – are keen on the young German.

Well that’s too early to say and it’s worth pointing out that Falk also mentioned that Bayern Munich were favourites.
But what a stunning deal it could be for Liverpool.
Remember, the Reds failed to sign a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum during the summer transfer window – and sign anyone apart from Ibrahima Konate.
It was reported that Michael Edwards and Jurgen Klopp were looking at a strong recruitment drive for summer of 2022, which is when Wirtz would be leaving Leverkusen – if he does indeed leave, that is.
His stats speak for themselves and with Wirtz being in a similar mould to Wijnaldum, what a stellar replacement this could be.
