Who is Emily Mariko?

Emily Mariko is a TikTok user with 2.3 million followers.

The 29-year-old from the Bay Area, California, makes videos about food, fashion and lifestyle.

She is also a YouTuber, and has 317,000 subscribers on her channel where she posts vlogs and food videos.

On Instagram, she has 68,000 followers on her profile @emilymariko.

What is her Salmon Rice recipe?

This week, a new recipe has been taking over TikTok called Salmon Rice.

Emily posted the recipe on her TikTok profile on September 21st, and it’s already had 3.6 million views.

Salmon Rice is what Emily made for lunch, a mixture of salmon fillet, rice and an ice cube. Yes, you heard that right. An ice cube is the secret ingredient!

Then, you add any toppings you like such as avocado, kimchi, soy sauce, sriracha. The options are endless!

How to make Emily’s Salmon Rice

  1. Cook the salmon fillet. This can be done in advance and kept in the fridge.
  2. Put the salmon in a bowl and shred it using a fork.
  3. Add rice on top.
  4. Then, put in an ice cube.
  5. Cover and put in the microwave.
  6. Take out the ice cube, which surprisingly won’t have melted.
  7. Stir the salmon and rice together.
  8. Add your toppings.

And voila! You’ve got yourself a tasty, healthy and nutritious lunch.
