Tottenham Hotspur had a shocker this past weekend.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were hammered 3-1 away to Arsenal in the North London derby.
And although it was only defeat by two goals in the end, the fact that Arsenal were leading by three inside 35 minutes illustrates Tottenham’s problems right now.
The Sun has reported that even before the game, the Portuguese coach was ‘furious’ with some of his players in the final training session at Hotspur Way on the Saturday.
The report adds that Nuno was livid at his troops’ inability to keep the ball even on the training ground and that his relationship with some Lilywhites star is at ‘absolute rock bottom’.
Worrying
And this, if true, is very worrying indeed.
It seems insane but it does look as if Nuno is in real danger at Tottenham.
Despite winning his first three games as Spurs boss – and the Manager of the Month award for August as a result – the team’s form has nosedived since.
The North Londoners have now lost their last three Premier League games – Palace, Chelsea and Arsenal – and conceded nine goals along the way.
And if The Sun is right in saying that some of Nuno’s relationships with the players has worsened then it could already be a sign that the end is near.
