Jermaine Jenas has said on Match of the Day 2 on BBC One (10:52pm, September 26, 2021) that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele was “shocking” against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium yesterday.

The former Tottenham midfielder has also named the other Spurs players who struggled badly against Arsenal in the North London derby.

The Gunners got the better of Spurs 3-1 in the Premier League yesterday.

Jenas said on Match of the Day 2 on BBC One (10:52pm, September 26, 2021): “Dele was poor, Ndombele was shocking, Hojbjerg, Harry Kane, there are a number of names I could go through, Son as well very poor.”

Tanguy Ndombele is struggling

Ndombele did not play in any of Tottenham’s pre-season matches, and the France international does not seem up to speed at the moment.

It seems that the 24-year-old is just starting the new campaign.

Arsenal were the better team in the North London derby and controlled the midfield.

Ndombele did not really do much of note in the middle of the park, and there was no surprise when Spurs head coach Nuno decided to take him off in the the 69th minute.

The Tottenham midfielder had a pass accuracy of 84.4%, took 45 touches, attempted three dribbles, and made two tackles.

The Frenchman is a very good midfielder, and Spurs fans will hope that the former Lyon star gets better in the coming weeks and months.
