Tim Sherwood has said on Sky Sports News (12:57pm, September 25, 2021) that reported Liverpool target Pedro Neto will leave Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager believes that Neto is an outstanding player, and has predicted that he will be the next big player to leave Wolves.

Liverpool interest

Goal reported on July 1 that Liverpool are interested in Wolves winger Neto with a view to a move next summer.

Then on July 23, 90min claimed that Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus have enquired about the winger.

The 21-year-old has not played since April when he suffered a knee injury.

The Athletic have reported that Neto is not expected to be back in action until at least October.

What Tim Sherwood thinks

Sherwood said on Sky Sports News (12:57pm, September 25, 2021): “Neto is a huge miss for them. I think he is a really outstanding player. He will be the next one to leave Wolves when he is fit and playing for a long period.”

Pedro Neto to Liverpool?

Now, Liverpool do have a strong attacking unit.

Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are superb attackers, while Diogo Jota has established himself as a big figure in the team.

However, every team need to make new additions and keep things fresh.

Neto is only 21, and there is very chance that he will improve in the coming years and would make Liverpool better and more threatening in attack.

The winger scored five goals and gave six assists in 30 Premier League starts last season.
