Arsenal blew Tottenham Hotspur away in a 3-1 home win today – and Daniel Ek was there at the Emirates Stadium to savour the moment.

The Gunners raced into a 2-0 lead through Emile Smith Rowe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before Bukayo Saka made it 3-0.

Tottenham did get one back late on through Son Heung-min, but this was undoubtedly Arsenal’s day.

The pressure is easing on Mikel Arteta, just as it mounts on Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Ek spotted at Arsenal

One person who will have loved the win is billionaire Daniel Ek, who was sat at the Emirates Stadium.

The Spotify CEO sat alongside Thierry Henry in the stands, cheering Arsenal on to a thumping 3-1 victory.

Henry being at Arsenal maybe isn’t a huge shock, but Ek showing his face at the Emirates is notable given the takeover rumours earlier this year.

Ek’s interest in Gunners takeover

Back in April, Ek tweeted his stance that he would like to buy Arsenal moving forward.

Stan Kroenke was under huge pressure after the ill-fated Super League plans, and Ek made himself an alternative.

Ek then wanted Henry, Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp to join him in a takeover bid.

That hasn’t come to fruition yet, but Ek being at today’s game may spark Arsenal takeover rumours again.
