Speaking on the 90Min YouTube channel, Paul Merson has been waxing-lyrical about Tottenham Hotspur attacker Heung-Min Son.
Merson was building a combined XI of Tottenham and Arsenal players and when it came to the left-wing spot, he knew exactly who he wanted to pick.
Indeed, Merson had Son in his side, reserving special praise for the South Korean.
What’s been said?
Merson had nothing but good things to say about Son.
“Son is just a phenomenal footballer. I still scratch my head and think how has nobody gone for Son. He’s a team player, he works his socks off, gives everything every game. Scores goals, runs without the ball and runs with the ball. He just ticks every box for me,” Merson said.
The complete package
Merson describes Son as a ‘phenomenal footballer’, and he’s not wrong.
The attacker is simply brilliant at so many things. He’s a great dribbler, a great finisher and an incredibly hard worker.
Harry Kane may get all of the accolades at Spurs, but when all is said and done, Son may leave behind an equally impressive legacy in north London.
Son will undoubtedly be key to any success Tottenham have this season, and if he turns up in the north London derby this weekend, Spurs will have a great chance to walking away from the game with all three points.
