Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting to Charlie Cresswell’s performance against Fulham.
Leeds came away from Craven Cottage as victors after winning a penalty shootout, and while the game wasn’t one to write home about, there were a few standout performances.
Cresswell, in particular, was on top form. The defender put in an incredibly composed performance against a Fulham frontline packed full of quality.
The Whites’ attack consisted of the likes of Neeskens Kebano, Anthony Knockaert and new signing Rodrigo Muniz, and while the London club came forward with confidence, they couldn’t get past Cresswell.
Yes, this was only a cup game against Championship opposition, but Fulham are no slouches, and the 19-year-old had to be switched on to help Leeds towards a clean sheet.
As you can imagine, United supporters on social media were waxing-lyrical about the teenager.
