Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has been speaking about Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer plans going forward.
The transfer window may have only just ended, but for Fabio Paratici and Steve Hitchen, the planning never stops.
Romano says that Tottenham are already targeting improving their midfield and that the higher-ups at Spurs will work on this in the coming months.
What’s been said?
Romano shared what he knows about Spurs.
“They’re always planning for the long term with Fabio Paratici. Let me say this, they will focus on the midfield. I don’t know if it will be in the January or the summer, but the next position they want to improve is the midfield. Let’s see what happens with Ndombele, if they find a solution, but they need to improve the midfield, so let’s see if January brings on an opportunity. Paratici and Hitchen will work on this in the coming months,” Romano said.

Needs strengthening
Tottenham have quite a strong squad, but it’s fair to say they need to strengthen in the midfield.
As Romano says, Tanguy Ndombele could be on his way out, while Harry Winks is another who could depart in the not so distant future.
Oliver Skipp is a bright prospect, but he’s not at the top-level as of yet, while Giovani Lo Celso has consistently struggled to impress in north London.
It will be interesting to see who Spurs turn to as they attempt to improve their midfield.
