Football fans on PS4, Xbox One, PS5 and Series X will soon be able to download the FIFA 22 EA Play 10 hours trial.

Although there are features exclusive to the game on next-gen, there’s still plenty of improvements for last-gen owners to anticipate. Goalkeepers should be tougher to beat, there’s the implementation of ‘true ball physics,’ and – as per usual – EA has promised that it will be easier to tackle and win the ball back.

There’s also a myriad of other enhancements including a revamped career mode, and you will be able to try these fixes out tomorrow before committing to a purchase.

How to download the FIFA 22 EA Play trial

You will be able to download the FIFA 22 EA Play trial on September 22nd for either PlayStation or Xbox.

On PS4 and PS5 you must subscribe to EA Play for either £3.99 a month or £19.99 a year. You can do the same on Xbox or you can instead join Game Pass Ultimate for £10.99 a month. This will automatically bag you an EA Access membership as well as other luxuries.

Once you boast a subscription, all PlayStation players need to do then is search FIFA 22 on the PSN store on September 22nd. When it has launched, you will find the wishlist option on PS5 replaced by ‘download early access trial’. You can look at Madden 22 right now for visual reference if you wish.

As for Xbox, you will be able to download it from either the Game Pass app or by just searching the game’s name. If you’ve already pre-ordered the Standard or Ultimate edition, you can actually preload the whole game right now on Microsoft’s console.

FIFA 22 file size

PlayStation Game Size reports that the FIFA 22 download and file size for PS5 is 51.909 GB.

It should be roughly the same on Series X, meanwhile it could differ on PS4, Xbox One, and PC due to lesser visuals and lack of hypermotion gameplay.

If you’re not interested in the EA Play trial, you will be able to preload the full game on September 25th for PlayStation.

As for Xbox, you can preload any edition that you’ve pre-ordered right now. Just so you know, there is no free upgrade available if you purchase a last-gen copy and then get your hands on a PS5 or Series X.
