The release date and time for Diablo 2 Resurrected is on the cusp and there is a list of a new features for fans to anticipate.
While there are a bunch of changes to the game such as the Amazon warrior’s design and much better visuals, you will be able to switch to its 2000 format if you’re feeling especially nostalgic. This is particularly good for newcomers or old fans who want to relive the beauty but also all the warts of old-school gaming.
Some fans may fear that there’s not enough changes to justify a purchase, but there is a myriad of quality of life improvements as well as game changers.
What time does Diablo 2 Resurrected come out?
The release date and time for when Diablo 2 Resurrected will come out is 08:00 PT, 11:00 ET, and 16:00 BST on September 23rd.
All of the above times are confirmed by Blizzard’s head of the series, Rod Fergusson, on Twitter. However, the PSN store says that it will come out at 00:00 ET and BST on the same day instead.
It may come out earlier on PlayStation compared to Xbox and PC, but it will still be available from September 23rd regardless.
Diablo 2 Resurrected new features

All of the above comes courtesy of the game’s official website. Cross-progression will allow you to transfer your save, loot, and character to other platforms where you own the game, meanwhile automatic pick up is a feature that was introduced in Diablo 3.
Revamped ladder seasons are worldwide rankings, the redesigned UI is more advanced and features item tooltip comparisons, and the expanded stash provides more space for your loot.
Lastly, the remastered graphics and remade cutscenes update the game to Ultra High Definition 4k (2160p) on PC. Monsters, heroes, items, and spells have all been given a makeover, but you can time travel to the year 2000 if you wish.
Pre-ordering the game will get you the the Heritage of Arreat transmog. This comes with the Barbarian transmog for Diablo 3.
Blizzard’s Standard edition costs £34.99, while the Prime Evil Collction costs £49.99 and comes with the below:
- Diablo III: Eternal Collection
- Diablo III: Hatred’s Grasp Wings
- Diablo III: Mephisto Pet
You can upgrade to the Prime Evil Collection if you’ve bought the Standard edition, but there is no upgrade price as of writing.
