What is Hacks About?

Hacks follow iconic Las Vegas stand-up comedy diva, Deborah Vance (Smart), when she recruits Gen-Z comedy writer, Ava, to revitalize her routines and keep her relevant within her place of work.

After being canceled on social media, over an insensitive tweet, Ava agrees to unite forces with Vance, and the show follows their differences, how they work together, and the blaring generational divide they face.

The show also explores an unlikely love story between the pair, which offers an unexpected dynamic within the narrative. The series has also been praised for one particular episode, which silences toxic masculinity within a small-town comedy club.
