Comedian, producer and director Chris Rock said that he has contracted Covid-19 but did he get vaccinated?

The Saturday Night Live star took to Twitter to reveal that he has the virus, while he also urged people to get vaccinated.

Was Chris Rock vaccinated?

Yes, Chris was vaccinated.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in May this year, the actor said that he had received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine which requires only one dose.

“I’m vaccinated. I’m two shots Rock. That’s what they call me,” he explained.

Taking to Twitter on September 19th, 2021, Chris revealed that he has been diagnosed with Covid-19 and urged his fans and social media followers to “get vaccinated”.

“Hey guys I just found out I have Covid. Trust me you don’t want this. Get vaccinated,” he tweeted.

The actor didn’t reveal what his symptoms were but his diagnosis is a breakthrough case as he is fully vaccinated.

Fans send support to actor

Fellow celebs and fans wish Chris a speedy recovery and sent many messages of support on Twitter.

“Get well soon, my friend!” Larry Wilmore tweeted.

“Get well soon. I had Covid but my symptoms were 2 days of a sore throat. Sorry to hear your not feeling that great,” wrote one fan.

“When comedians aren’t joking, listen up. Get well soon,” tweeted another user.

The actor previously spoke about the vaccine

During an interview with co-host Gayle King on CBS Sunday Morning earlier this year, the actor and comedian shared his thoughts about the vaccine.

When he got asked whether he would take the vaccine, Chris said:

“I’m gonna put it this way – do I take Tylenol when I get a headache? Yes. Do I know what’s in Tylenol? I don’t know what’s in Tylenol, Gayle. I just know my headache is gone. Do I know what’s in a Big Mac, Gayle? No. I just know it’s delicious.”
