Chelsea fans were impressed by what they saw from Tanguy Ndombele on Sunday despite Tottenham’s 3-0 defeat.

During his time in the Premier League, the 24-year-old has shown glimpses of absolute magic, but then five minutes later he has shown the complete opposite.

It does leave supporters questioning why he can’t perform, like he did in the first half of yesterday’s game, throughout the 90 minutes.

Chelsea supporters liked what they saw from Tottenham’s club-record signing, who was starting his first Premier League game of the season.

Not so long ago, it seemed like the Frenchman’s time in North London was up and he was going to head for the exit door.

But he stayed put this summer and it seems as though he is now back in Nuno Espirito Santo’s plan.

He was subbed off midway through the second half and, without the ball, many will question that he still needs to do a lot more.

But with the ball, even opposition fans feel he has magic at his feet, even if he is still struggling to find that consistency.

Under Jose Mourinho, he was a regular, albeit they got off to a shaky start, but things went downhill once Ryan Mason was handed the keys on a temporary basis.

That continued on under Nuno, until this week, with Ndombele starting Tottenham’s Europa Conference match on Thursday in Rennes and then the London derby.

Nonetheless, this is what Chelsea fans had to say about Ndombele’s display yesterday:
