Aston Villa fans have reacted on Twitter to Ezri Konsa screaming in the face of Ben Godfrey moments after Everton conceded their second goal on Saturday.
Dean Smith’s side recorded a 3-0 win over Everton at Villa Park, with one of their goals coming via a corner.
When Leon Bailey whipped in a corner, into the near post, it was too hot to handle for Lucas Digne, with the Everton man nodding the ball into his own net.
Godfrey was seemingly tasked with marking the back post, with Konsa standing in front of his Everton counterpart.
And when the ball hit the back of the net, the Villa man could purposely be seen screaming in front of his face.
Villa fans have seen the funny side to Konsa’s actions and shared how they might be England teammates one day.
Godfrey has earned that call by Gareth Southgate before and is on the fringes of the senior squad.
On the other hand, Konsa has been Villa’s best defender since the start of last season, but it’s his club teammate, Tyrone Mings, who has been getting picked.
Either way, it remains to be seen what sparked Konsa’s reaction because something must have been said during the game between the two, or as the corner was being lined up.
